Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, CO, is seeking a Health and Safety Engineer to train employees on EHS policies, conduct inspections, and produce health and safety assessment reports. You will lead risk assessments, identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and Colorado health regulations while supporting a 24/7 metals manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, industrial engineering, safety management or similar program.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an EHS professional in a manufacturing environment, preferably metals.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Velocity and Intellaquest experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train teams to achieve EHS goals.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and identify hazards.
• Develop and implement EHS improvement strategies.
• Prepare incident, environmental, and safety reporting.
• Communicate findings to management and regulators.
• Stay updated on EHS trends and best practices.
• Work 75% on plant floor and support 24/7 operations.
