Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety coordinator to develop and maintain effective EHS processes through risk reduction strategies and management system implementation.

You will conduct new hire safety orientations, assist with incident investigations, coordinate safety trainings with vendors, perform facility inspections, maintain injury records, and develop training schedules while producing safety reports in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Background in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, preferably from a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with Cal/OSHA regulations related to Machine Guarding, Lockout Tag Out, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, PPE, Industrial Hygiene, Elevated Work Space, NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety.
• Intermediate computer skills are required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Communication skills, verbal and written
• Interpersonal skills
• Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Sound judgment with timely decisions
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire safety orientation trainings
• Assist Supervisors with accident investigation and reporting
• Coordinate with outside vendors and suppliers for safety trainings
• Perform facility safety inspections and incident investigations
• Improve EHS workplace performance by promoting incident-free environment
• Maintain injury records
• Develop employee training schedules
• Research and purchase safety PPE when necessary
• Create safety graphs/reports using Excel and PowerPoint
• Participate in department meetings
• Other tasks as assigned
