Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Western Region EHS team seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer - Level 4 in San Diego. You will manage the EHS program, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with site leaders to strengthen safety culture while supporting hazardous materials and incident investigations.

The role requires extensive EHS experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of EHS experience or 6+ years with a Masters or 4+ years with a PhD or related experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret EHS regulations for site applicability.
• Assist with implementation of EHS programs to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve culture of EHS awareness.
• Develop and maintain EHS plans and procedures.
• Coordinate training and liaise with regulatory agencies.
• Lead accident/injury investigations and reporting.
