Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to implement and oversee EHS programs at our Florida site. You will manage hazardous waste, conduct routine environmental inspections, and support incident investigations with a focus on continuous safety improvement.

The role requires an associate degree in EHS, regulatory knowledge, and flexibility to work varied shifts. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Environmental Health and Safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications including forklift and First Aid/CPR/AED.

Responsibilities

• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste including labeling and shipment coordination.
• Conduct environmental and safety inspections (storm water, SPCC, wastewater, extinguishers, eyewash).
• Participate in safety walks, track corrective actions, and support safety committees.
• Enter data into EHS software and generate reports for leadership.
• Assist in incident investigations and in Job Hazard Analysis development.
• Support health and safety audits and training across the site.
