Job summary

Intellectt INC is seeking an EHS Engineer II to provide occupational safety and industrial hygiene support at a highly regulated manufacturing site in Raynham, MA. This contract role focuses on strengthening safety programs, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and proactive EHS practices across Raynham and Bridgewater facilities.

You will develop and maintain EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, support incident investigations, and deliver EHS training while supporting permit to work,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in EHS, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of related EHS experience.
• Experience with chemical management, change control, risk assessments, and emergency response.
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace EHS risks.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Experience managing EHS projects and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Support site EHS programs covering machine safety, warehouse and dock safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, contractor safety, powered industrial vehicles, emergency preparedness, and chemical management.
• Develop, review, and maintain EHS programs including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fire Prevention, Hot Work, Machine Safety, Warehouse Safety, and Management of Change.
• Conduct ergonomic and machine safety risk assessments and develop Job Safety Analyses for automated and manual operations.
• Perform routine EHS assessments, inspections, audits, and program reviews to identify risks and compliance gaps.
• Support incident investigations, CAPA activities, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Provide EHS training and support implementation of regulatory and company safety requirements.
• Support Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout programs, including training, procedure development, inspections, and audits.
• Support Management of Change reviews for equipment and process modifications.
• Assist with industrial hygiene sampling for chemicals, APIs, noise, and other workplace exposures.
• Support machine guarding, ergonomic improvements, Serious Injury/Fatality risk reduction, and other EHS projects.
• Prepare EHS reports, metrics, inspection findings, and action tracking documentation.
• Provide day-to-day support for emergency response and the site Medical Emergency Response Team.

About the Role

This role will support the site EHS Management System and help strengthen safety programs, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and proactive EHS practices across Raynham and Bridgewater facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or other highly regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of machine safety, hearing conservation, ergonomics, chemical handling, and industrial hygiene.
• Experience with CAPA and EHS program implementation.
• Project management experience.
• CIH, CHMM, CSP, or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred but not required.
• Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.
