Job description

Job Details

EHS Engineer - Technology Front-End Semiconductor Manufacturing (TFSM) Oregon

At Intel, we're not just building chips - we're shaping the future of human connectivity and computing. As we accelerate one of the most ambitious transformations in our company's history, we're looking for a passionate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to help ensure the people behind our industry‑leading technologies go home safe every day. This is your opportunity to play a critical role at the intersection of cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing and world‑class health and safety practice.

About The Role

The EHS TFSM Oregon Engineer is a high‑impact position embedded within Intel's Technology Front-End Semiconductor Manufacturing organization at our Hillsboro, Oregon campus. Reporting to the EHS TFSM Manager, you will serve as the primary technical authority for Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, and Safety programs across Intel's Oregon manufacturing sites. You won't just ensure compliance — you'll be a strategic partner to engineers, technologists, and factory teams, proactively identifying and resolving health and safety challenges as Intel develops the next generation of process technologies.

What You'll Do
Semiconductor process equipment and facilities — Health and Safety
  • Provide comprehensive ergonomics, industrial hygiene and safety support throughout the full lifecycle of process equipment and facility systems — from procurement and design through integration and transfer
  • Validate that supplier equipment has been reviewed as compliant to SEMI S2 and S8 semiconductor industry standards during procurement
  • Partner with factory stakeholders to deliver safety design support for equipment and facilities installations
Technology Development Support
  • Serve as the EHS technical resource for new process technology development, including the introduction of novel process equipment and chemicals
  • Conduct detailed, high‑quality risk assessments for new manufacturing equipment and facilities
  • Develop and recommend appropriate health and safety controls — engineering and/or administrative — to effectively mitigate identified risks
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure all controls are fully validated and implemented before new technology transfers to high‑volume manufacturing
Compliance and Program Ownership
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and Intel policies across all supported sites
  • Own and continuously improve Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, and Safety programs at Oregon manufacturing locations
  • Represent EHS TFSM Oregon in cross‑site health and safety teams
  • Collaborate with EHS TFSM teammates to drive meaningful health and safety improvements across Intel's factories

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
