Job summary

Carolina Container LLC is seeking a Safety Director to develop, implement, and lead environmental, health, and safety programs across its manufacturing and warehouse sites in High Point, NC. The role ensures regulatory compliance and promotes a culture of safety excellence.

Key responsibilities include policy development, risk assessment, training, incident investigations, and sustainability initiatives. Strong leadership and CSP/CIH qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering or related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CSD, ASP, or CIH preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle workers’ compensation claims.
• Develop and execute company-wide safety strategies, policies, and programs.
• Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead corrective action efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
