Job summary

The EH&S Coordinator at LGC is responsible for coordinating environmental health and safety programs across laboratories, research spaces, and operations, in compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company policies. The role reports to the EHS Director and supports day-to-day safety needs, inspections, and safety committee activities.

Key duties include leading job hazard analysis, maintaining EH&S records, and ensuring proper labeling, chemical inventory control, and emergency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma with at least two years of industry safety experience.
• Strong lab and chemical safety knowledge, and general safety practices.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Able to work independently and make decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EH&S programs with the EHS Director and staff.
• Support safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Lead monthly safety committee meetings.
• Manage documentation and records for EH&S compliance.
• Stock EH&S supplies and perform monthly equipment checks.
• Partner with site leadership to implement EH&S policies.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly inspections and chemical inventory audits.
