Job summary

Cedar's Foods is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety professional to coordinate programs, reports, training, audits, and systems ensuring compliance with safety laws and internal performance goals.

Under the direction of the HSE Manager, you will perform audits, monitor waste, train personnel, investigate incidents, and prepare reports for government agencies to continuously improve our safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Two to five years HSE experience in a manufacturing facility, food manufacturing preferred.
• Sound knowledge of OSHA and DEP regulations and requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork and customer focus oriented.
• Ability to train and coach others.
• Relevant certifications helpful (CHMM, ASP or CSP).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate programs, reports, training, audits, and systems to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
• Perform environmental and safety audits to assess compliance with laws and COVID-19 procedures.
• Monitor waste activities including generation, storage, inventory, transportation, and disposal.
• Train plant personnel on environmental, hygiene and safety matters and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare environmental reports for government agencies in accordance with laws and regulations.
