Job summary

Cedar’s Foods is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager (HSE) to lead safety, health, environmental and security activities on site in Haverhill, MA. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while minimizing risks and providing training to employees.

The role requires a BS in Occupational Health and Safety, OSHA 511/501 completion, and ideally ASP/CSP certification.

• Knowledge of federal/state regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures/regulations.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills to evaluate metrics.

Responsibilities

• Improves safety management processes following regulations, policies and best practices.
• Directs proactive safety programs for all Cedar’s facilities.
• Develops and reports Wastewater, Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste and Storm Water programs.
• Educates and trains operations in safety management.
• Partners with risk management to identify improvements in tools and processes.
• Directs accident investigation programs and monitors trends for performance improvements.
