Job summary

Waters seeks an EHS Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe workplace. The role supports a culture of safety across all employees.

The position emphasizes training, incident investigations, recordkeeping, and collaboration with the EHS Manager to drive continuous improvement in a regulated, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in manufacturing or life sciences.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other EHS regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to train and present.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to conduct effective EHS inspections and incident investigations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• EHS certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and control EHS risks and hazards across all company operations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and walk-throughs to ensure compliance.
• Develop and deliver EHS training on hazardous waste management, emergency preparedness, PPE, and industrial hygiene.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, including incident reports, training logs, and regulatory docs.
• Investigate EHS incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the EHS Manager in regulatory inquiries and inspections.
• Assist in developing and revising EHS policies and work instructions.
• Participate in EHS committees to foster a safety culture.
• Monitor EHS KPIs and prepare management reports.
• Stay up-to-date with EHS regulations and best practices.
