Job summary

Tenneco is hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator for its Van Wert, Ohio facility. The role focuses on developing, implementing and administering EHS programs, training employees, and supporting ISO 14001 readiness.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of manufacturing EHS experience, with strong regulatory knowledge and the ability to drive a proactive safety culture alongside management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Solid understanding of EHS function and requirements.
• Ability to read regulations and write safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Work with management to build a proactive safety culture at the facility.
• Implement, maintain and improve the EHS management system including Enablon entries.
• Assist EHS Manager to implement programs, policies and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with EHS assessments/audits (internal or external) and lead corrective actions.
• Present and oversee EHS related training in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Investigate injuries/illnesses and environmental incidents; track data and metrics.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reporting and permitting.
• Assist in achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 certification.
