Job summary

Tenneco Inc. in the United States is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and administration of EHS programs across the facility.

You will help train employees, maintain ISO 14001 readiness, and work with management to foster a proactive safety culture while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field with 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Solid understanding of the EHS function and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation regulations.
  • Ability to develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Build a proactive safety culture at the facility.
  • Maintain and improve the EHS management system in Enablon.
  • Assist with implementing EHS programs, policies, and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead EHS assessments and drive corrective actions.
  • Provide EHS-related training to employees.
  • Investigate injuries/illnesses and track data.
  • Prepare environmental reporting and permitting.
  • Support ISO 14001 certification efforts.
