Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace USA Corporation is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Assistant to support documentation, data analysis and certification activities. The role requires knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, and the ability to work both independently and with the team.

You will prepare statistics, assist with external audits, and coordinate information for certifications while maintaining organized records and effective communication with authorities.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in environmental, safety or related field.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Proficient use of Word, Excel, and Access.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform tasks such as filing, depositing and arranging function-related documents, certifications, audit results, etc..
• Prepare EHS related statistics, diagrams, slides etc., to support dedicated Managers or Professionals.
• Collect, select, classify and check information for completeness and given criteria and provide respective information in case of external audits.
• Prepare all information and materials necessary to gain certifications and communicate in this respect with authorities and external certification bodies.
• Proceed with all day-to-day EHS related assistant operations.

Your Qualifications

• BS Degree in Environmental, Safety or related field or applicable work experience in lieu of degree
• Possess knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Proficient knowledge and use of standard Windows programs (Word, Excel, Access)
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Organized, motivated and dependable individual
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
• This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a \u201cUS Person\u201d as defined by 22 C.F.R.
• 120.15 is required. \u201cUS Person\u201d includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
