Job summary

Google is seeking an Area Program Manager for Environmental, Health and Safety Construction in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will lead multi-disciplinary EHS programs across data centers, partnering with contractors and internal teams to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks and report progress across offices and partners.

This role sits within CSRM, Construction EHS, focusing on safety and efficiency with data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program or project management.
Experience working in construction with a focus on safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Experience in safety metrics reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and ownership of the EHS program for area construction oversight and data collection.
Ensure that contractors deliver on Program safety performance expectations and agreement requirements providing timely solutions to issues.
Monitor, advise and assist the construction project teams to protect people, environment and ensure compliance.
Drive a culture that embraces a continuous learning approach and aligns with organizational strategies including goals and objectives.
Liaise with the wider Construction EHS team to ensure best practices are fully and completely implemented, progress reported, trends and data captured, analyzed and risks mitigated to an acceptable level ensuring that the operational capacity of a live data center is not compromised.
