Job summary

All ELLWOOD Groups in Houston, TX seeks an EHS professional to ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations and to support safety programs. The role involves leading safety training, incident investigations, and maintaining policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating monitoring and sampling, managing permits, and reporting safety metrics. Travel regionally may be required and confidentiality must be maintained.

  • Ability to adjust to a continuously changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal EHS regulations.
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA and TCEQ guidelines are met and documentation is prepared and stored for required timeframe.
  • Provide ongoing support, leadership and guidance and direct effort to achieve Star status under OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Safety & Health Policies, Plans and Procedures.
  • Conduct new employee safety orientation training.
  • Periodic/Annual training courses regarding specific safety issues relevant to the work environment.
  • Provide ongoing support to facility personnel and leadership in identifying workplace hazards, reporting and investigation of incidents.
  • Work with department supervision to conduct incident investigations to determine root cause and prevention.
  • Conduct frequent plant safety inspections and observe workers for safe and unsafe behaviors.
  • Develop, maintain and report on key safety performance indicators.
  • Schedule and coordinate required monitoring and sampling for Industrial Hygiene/Environmental factors.
  • Managing local and state permitting, sampling requirements and waste manifests including SDCP, Title V and IWW Permitting
  • The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive
  • Travel regionally as needed.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by the Company; and
  • Meet attendance requirements.
