Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Conyers, GA to support the Safety Manager in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with federal and state health and safety laws.

You will conduct inspections, lead hazard assessments, and help develop EHS training while investigating incidents and tracking corrective actions. The role emphasizes risk assessments, JSAs, and collaboration with contractors and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, construction, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; perform root cause analysis and track corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response activities.
• Participate in risk assessments, JSAs, and machine safety reviews.
• Monitor contractor safety and compliance activities.
• Assist with workers' compensation, return-to-work, and injury management processes.
• Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership review.
• Promote employee engagement through safety committees, observations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
