Farouk Systems Inc. in Houston seeks an Environmental Coordinator to develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing setting.

You will promote a proactive safety culture, minimize risk, and ensure regulatory compliance with EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ requirements. Key responsibilities include managing permits, conducting inspections and audits, preparing reports, delivering EHS training, and collaborating with production, maintenance and quality teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with EPA regulations, OSHA standards, TCEQ regulations.
• Experience managing environmental permits and regulatory reporting.
• Experience conducting EHS inspections and audits.

Responsabilités

• Maintain environmental compliance programs in accordance with EPA, OSHA, TCEQ rules.
• Ensure permits for air emissions, wastewater, stormwater and hazardous waste compliance.
• Manage hazardous waste accumulation, labeling, storage and disposal per RCRA.
• Coordinate environmental inspections, audits and regulatory reporting.
• Monitor environmental performance metrics and prepare monthly compliance reports.
• Maintain environmental records, permits, manifests and required documentation.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Support sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and resource conservation.
• Investigate environmental incidents, spills and non-compliance events and drive timely corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver environmental awareness and EHS training programs.
• Participate in internal and external EHS audits.
• Support OSHA compliance programs including inspections, incident investigations and safety training.
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), PPE assessments.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality departments to improve environmental performance and workplace safety.
• Stay current on changing environmental regulations and communicate impacts to management.
• Participating in audits by regulatory agencies
• Formulate and implement waste reduction strategies.
• Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned.
