Job summary

Richard, Wayne & Roberts is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead site-level HSE programs at its North Houston-area operation. This hands-on role partners with operations and plant leadership to drive safety performance and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee occupational safety, process safety, environmental compliance, audits, incident investigations and risk management, with a proven plant-level track record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HSE/EHS experience in chemical, petrochemical, specialty chemical, or process manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience leading or owning HSE programs at the plant/site level.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Experience with batch and/or continuous chemical/process manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance, including permitting and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with PHA, MOC, PSSR, RCA, audits, and corrective-action management.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 9001 management systems preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• CSP, CHMM, CIH, ISO Lead Auditor, or similar certification is a plus.

Job description

A growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead site-level HSE programs at its North Houston-area operation. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong background in chemical, petrochemical, or process manufacturing who can partner closely with operations and plant leadership to drive safety performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

The HSE Manager will provide leadership across occupational safety, process safety, environmental compliance, auditing, incident investigation, and risk management. The ideal candidate has experience taking ownership of HSE programs within a manufacturing facility and is comfortable working directly with plant personnel and leadership.

This is an onsite position in the North Houston area with occasional travel to another company facility.
