Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Georgia seeks an EHS and Compliance Senior Specialist to lead Environmental, Health and Work Safety programs on site, closely coordinating with North America EHS and reporting to OSHA, EPA, DEP, DOL/DOH, DOT. You will drive risk identification, management and improved performance across the site.

The role includes establishing the EHS management system, training programs, and supporting emergency response teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 3+ years in supporting Environmental, Health, and/or Safety programs in a regulated operations or similar environment.
• Ability to deal with routine and emergency situations in a reliable and professional manner.
• Strong communication with local management, staff and government agencies.
• Team player and team leader with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an active member of the Site Operations team and provide regular updates on EHS compliance.
• Coordinate day-to-day EHS programs including contractor safety, LOTO, JSAs, EHS training and emergency response.
• Complete OSHA/EPA/DEP/DOL/DOH/DOT reporting and corporate EHS reports.
• Develop and implement internal audit programs to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Chair the HSE Committee and participate in Crisis Management planning.
• Manage risk discussions and assist with assigned tasks as needed.
• Support key compliance initiatives on site.
