Job summary

Emerson in Sherman, TX is seeking a Safety ES&H Co-op student to review and support updates to formal safety programs, perform safety surveys, and help improve safety processes. This full-time summer/fall cooperative assignment runs January 2027 through August 2027 and requires enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program.

You will work 40 hours per week, use MS Office, and gain exposure to EPA/OSHA regulations while collaborating with the Site ES&H team.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
• Available for full-time Summer/Fall Co-op in Sherman, TX.
• Basic understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review and support updates to safety programs (Lockout, Fall Protection, GHS).
• Perform safety surveys and engage employees.
• Support development and implementation of safety process improvements.
• Assist and lead projects under supervision of the Site ES&H Manager and Safety Specialists.
