Job summary

Emerson is offering a full-time summer/fall co-op in Sherman, TX, focusing on Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) program support. You will review safety programs, conduct safety surveys, and help develop improvements under the guidance of Site ES&H Manager and Safety Specialists.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with coursework in safety, occupational health, or safety engineering, and have basic knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
• 40 hours per week during the scheduled semester.
• Basic understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Commitment to full-time Summer/Fall Co-op in Sherman, TX from January 2027-August 2027.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Review and support updates to formal safety programs (Lockout, Fall Protection, GHS).
• Perform safety surveys and engage employees in their work.
• Support development and implementation of continuous improvement of safety processes.
• Assist and lead projects under supervision of Site ES&H Manager and Safety Specialists.
