Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Bachelor’s degree student for a full-time Summer/Fall Co‑op in Sherman, TX from January 2027 to August 2027. You will collaborate with Quality, Assembly and Engineering to document procedures, perform time studies and develop shop-floor improvements. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safety focus, and exposure to lean manufacturing concepts within a manufacturing environment. AutoCAD drawing development is a plus.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program.
• Inclusion of a Mechanical/Industrial/ME Engineering focus is preferred.
• Junior or senior standing is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work with Quality/Assembly/Engineering on daily tasks to create documentation and improve processes.
• Update shop floor layouts and perform time studies.
• Document current and future state workflows and potential improvements.
• Participate in kaizen events to eliminate waste and support lean initiatives.
• Attend department, team, and project meetings as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers and teams to address safety, quality, and production challenges.
