Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large EHR implementation across BCHS, BOI, and BCD with one of Pennsylvania’s health agencies. The role requires strong health informatics experience, EHR/EMR expertise, and proven leadership of complex health IT projects.

The candidate must be PA-resident, PMP-certified for 5+ years, and available for on-site work two days per week in Harrisburg, with potential travel for off-site meetings.

Qualifications

• EHR implementation experience is required.
• Experience transitioning from paper-based environments to EHR systems.
• PMP certification with 5+ years of experience.
• Must reside in Pennsylvania (PA).
• On-site availability and Harrisburg office presence two days per week.
• Travel for off-site meetings as needed.
• 7–9 years of relevant project management experience.
• Health IT experience with EHR/EMR systems and health informatics.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of the HHS DOH program implementation.
• Ensure project is on schedule, within budget, and meets requirements.
• Apply PMI five phases and PMO standards to guide execution.
• Develop and approve Project Management Plan, Communication Plan, and Deliverables Matrix.
• Manage project scope, milestones, and governance; coordinate with multiple IT teams.
• Maintain RAID+ log, risk mitigation, and status/quality reviews.
• Communicate status to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide weekly updates and ensure documentation in SharePoint & Teams.
