Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) seeks an Information Systems Coordinator to oversee EHR processes within HIM and records functions. You will design and evolve EHR systems, generate reports, ensure data integrity, and create/update policies and procedures.

Training will be provided for physicians, HIM staff, and other users. Ideal candidates bring an Associate degree in information systems or related field and at least three years of health information systems experience, with

Qualifications

Associates degree required in Information Systems or related field.
Three years of experience in health information systems.
Two years of additional education may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Excellent knowledge of health information systems, guidelines and best practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee EHR processes and HIM record management.
Create and review reports; identify and correct data integrity issues.
Create and update policies and procedures for EHR design, management and maintenance.
Develop training materials and provide ongoing training for physicians, HIM staff, and other users.
