Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, TX seeks an EHR Application Analyst to implement, optimize, and support EHR platforms across clinical and administrative workflows.

The role requires collaboration with clinical, IT, and administrative teams, strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, with travel as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required if hired before 9/2026.
• Bachelor’s degree required if hired after 9/2026.
• 2+ years of experience with Epic, Meditech, CPSI, Cerner.
• Proven track record implementing and optimizing EHR systems.
• Experience with healthcare workflows, clinical operations, and admin processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience in system configuration, data integration, and reporting.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding hospital operations and IT in integrated delivery systems.
• Open to travel when required.
• Epic/Meditech/Cerner/CPSI certifications preferred.

Overview

Position: EHR Application Analyst

Department: Data Processing

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8 hour shifts

Location: Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, TX

Responsibilities

Under the minimal direction, this position will be responsible for the implementation, optimization, and support of these Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, ensuring seamless clinical and administrative operations. This position will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to assess needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient workflows. This role requires independent responsibility, discretion, and decision-making on critical tasks, with minimal oversight. It involves prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and consistently meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent if hired before 9/2026 required
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, or a related field required if hired after 9/2026
• 2+ years of experience working with Epic, Meditech, CPSI, Cerner EHR systems.
• Proven track record of implementing and optimizing EHR systems.
• Experience in healthcare workflows, clinical operations, and administrative processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clinical staff and IT teams.
• Experience in system configuration, data integration, and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
• Open to travel when required.
• Epic Certification in at least one module (e.g., ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Orders), preferred
• Meditech Certification, preferred
• Cerner or CPSI or other EHR Certification, preferred
