Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the U.S. seeks a Senior Manager / Associate Director, EHDS Data Cataloguing within Clinical Data Transparency.

You will lead data inventory, metadata standards, and cross-functional governance across geographies to enable compliant health data discovery under EHDS. The role requires advanced data cataloging expertise, collaboration with Legal, Privacy, and Data Owners, and the ability to implement HealthDCAT-AP metadata and EHDS requirements in a global matrix

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in scientific, technology, data, or healthcare discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, or data experience in data management, data standards, data governance, biostatistics, clinical programming, or clinical data transparency.

Responsibilities

• Leads the EHDS Data Inventory and Cataloging workstream and coordinates data owners and functional representatives to identify in-scope datasets and holdings.
• Establishes and maintains a complete inventory of in-scope data including ownership, EHDS data category, and dependencies.
• Applies classification approach for EHDS data categories and implements metadata standards like HealthDCAT-AP to ensure discoverability.
• Develops metadata requirements, decision framework, and governance controls for consistent cataloging.
• Coordinates with data owners to obtain, validate, and maintain dataset information and resolves gaps through governance channels.
• Supports determining data holder positions and works with Legal and privacy teams on ownership and responsibility.
• Drives quality reviews of the inventory and coordinates remediation across functions and geographies.
• Registers and maintains dataset descriptions in catalogues and ensures metadata accuracy over time.
• Defines data quality labeling requirements and interfaces with Data Sharing to align with data protection and privacy processes.
