Role: Senior Manager/Associate Director, EHDS Data Cataloguing, leading the identification, classification, and maintenance of Johnson & Johnson’s health data under the European Health Data Space framework. Primary objectives include establishing and managing a comprehensive data inventory aligned with EHDS standards, ensuring data discoverability, consistency, and compliance across functions and geographies. Responsibilities encompass coordinating data owners, applying metadata standards like HealthDCAT-AP, developing operational procedures, validating dataset information, driving data quality, and embedding EHDS requirements into data processes. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Data Sharing, Regulatory, and IT teams, and supporting vendor engagement for cataloging solutions.
Qualifications: advanced degree in a scientific, healthcare, or data discipline, with 8+ years’ experience in data management, standards, or governance within pharma, healthcare, or related fields. Expertise in clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC SDTM, HL7 FHIR, OMOP), metadata management, and data classification is required. Familiarity with EHDS obligations or ability to operationalize new regulatory standards is essential. Preferred skills include analytics, data security, privacy standards, and strategic project management.
The position may be based in Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Switzerland, or US, with hybrid work arrangements (3 days onsite weekly) and some international travel. The role supports ongoing clinical transparency activities and ensures data cataloging aligns with evolving EU and global data governance frameworks.
