Job summary

Swale Academies Trust is seeking a dedicated Trust EHCP Coordinator (HLTA Level) to support primary and secondary schools. Under the direction of the Trust SEND Lead, you will audit EHCP backlogs, collate multi-agency evidence, and draft and submit EHCP applications to secure resources for pupils with complex needs.

You will act as a central contact between SENCOs, health professionals, and external agencies, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and local authority criteria while

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Level 2 or 3 Diploma and HLTA standards.
• Experience navigating the EHCP application process.
• Experience working with children in learning environments.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and local authority processes.
• Strong written communication for precise reports.
• Excellent organisational skills to meet strict statutory deadlines.
• Flexibility to travel across Trust sites; remote work possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead the collation of evidence, drafting and timely submission of EHCNA requests across designated schools.
• Audit existing caseloads and flexibly deploy across schools to tackle backlogs where demand is highest.
• Serve as a central point of contact between SENCOs, teaching staff, health professionals, and external agencies to gather essential assessment data.
• Maintain complete working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and local authority criteria to ensure legal alignment.
