Job summary

American Woodmark Corporation, part of MasterBrand, seeks an Environmental Health & Safety professional to help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and to support safety program administration at our Moorefield plant.

You will update safety practices, manage workers’ compensation files, assist in trainings, and partner with the EH&S Manager on projects to improve safety performance and regulatory readiness across the facility.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent PC skills; Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint experience.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; reporting goals.
• Track record in project management is a plus; teamwork essential.
• Experience with safety program implementation and administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating plant safety practices documents to maintain a safe working environment.
• File Workers’ Compensation claims and maintain related files.
• Accompany employees on initial visits, physicians or drug screens and follow-up visits.
• Assist in safety and technical training as needed and directed.
• Collaborate with EH&S Manager on projects and initiatives.
• Enter environmental data, monitor reports, and maintain inspector files.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits of facilities, operations, and equipment.
• Maintain SDS programs; ensure regulatory compliance.
