Job summary

Gehl Food & Beverage is seeking an EH&S Specialist for the 3rd shift to lead on-site safety programs in a manufacturing environment. You will support safety training, audits, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement.

This role emphasizes collaboration with operations, offers full benefits and growth opportunities, and requires a high school diploma, 1+ year EHS experience, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of EHS/safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and required insurance.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Availability to work 3rd shift, including occasional weekends/alternative schedules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EH&S contact during 3rd shift.
• Conduct safety/environmental audits and emergency response drills.
• Deliver hands-on and classroom safety training.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and facility risk assessments.
• Promote OSHA, company safety, environmental, and GMP compliance.
• Support safety permits, work orders, PSM activities, and PPE requirements.
• Partner with operations and employees to strengthen our safety culture.
