Job summary

Gehl-Food- is hiring an EH&S Specialist to serve as the primary safety resource for the 3rd shift at our Germantown, WI site. You will support safety programs, training, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.

The role focuses on audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement, partnering with operations to strengthen our safety culture and ensure GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of EHS/safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and required insurance
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
• Availability to work 3rd shift, including occasional weekends/alternative schedules

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EH&S contact during 3rd shift
• Conduct safety/environmental audits and emergency response drills
• Deliver hands‑on and classroom safety training
• Support incident and near‑miss investigations and corrective actions
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and facility risk assessments
• Promote OSHA, company safety, environmental, and GMP compliance
• Support safety permits, work orders, PSM activities, and PPE requirements
• Partner with operations and employees to strengthen our safety culture
