Job summary

Dow Chemical is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety. You will manage risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and employee training to support operational excellence.

This role also supports the Fort Saskatchewan P2Z initiative toward net-zero emissions, reinforcing Dow's commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of EH&S/OH&S experience or related field.
• Canada: must be legally authorized to work; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution of daily EH&S programs by implementing established safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations by applying best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance and expertise on EH&S policies, acting as a resource for plant teams.
• Functions as the primary point of contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Supports and coaches employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversees timely completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Conducts or manages environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations, reporting findings for regulatory adherence.
