Job summary

Dow Chemical Company is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety at the Fort Saskatchewan site.

You will lead daily EH&S activities, provide guidance, coach employees, and support the Path2Zero initiative toward net-zero emissions, aligning with Dow's sustainability commitments and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years in EH&S or related field.
• Canada applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country; visa sponsorship not available.
• Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta location.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution of daily EH&S programs by implementing established safety standards and protocols.
• Ensures plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations by applying best practices in safety and environmental management.
• Provides guidance and expertise on EH&S-related policies, acting as a resource for plant teams.
• Functions as the primary point of contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Supports and coaches employees on EH&S-related procedures and responsibilities.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversees and ensures timely completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Conducts or manages environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations, reporting key findings for regulatory adherence.
