Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with OSHA/MIOSHA standards; PSM experience a plus.
• Experience maintaining Emergency Action Plans and incident command systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead safety committees.
• Proactive, hands-on leader capable of training and guiding staff.
• Experience with regulatory reporting such as Tier II, MAERS and Title V.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily, logged safety walks of the facility and grounds; coach operators in real time.
• Develop, maintain, and drill the site Emergency Action Plan and procedures.
• Act as incident commander for emergencies; hold stop-work authority for imminent risk.
• Build and lead an in-house emergency response team with HazWoper-level training.
• Own spill prevention and response in collaboration with production staff.
• Manage fire protection systems and coordinate with local fire department and county officials.
• Oversee site security: access control, badge management, and visitor procedures.
• Maintain SDS, PPE programs, and hazardous waste storage/disposal compliance.
• Coordinate air permitting, stormwater, and hazardous waste compliance with third-party consultants.
• Lead Health & Safety Committee meetings and track corrective actions to closure.
• Chair root-cause investigations for incidents and oversee near-miss reporting program.
• Own annual review cycle for all safety, emergency response, and security SOPs.
