Job summary

Quantum Space is seeking a technically driven EGSE/Avionics Test Software Engineer to develop automated test software and EGSE for spacecraft avionics used in Ranger missions. You will create reusable test applications, instrument interfaces, and test sequencing capabilities to verify hardware and software.

You will collaborate across avionics, flight software, electrical, systems, and test teams to ensure accurate, repeatable results and robust test infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience developing automated test software for spacecraft avionics and consumable test infrastructure.
• Proven ability to build reusable test applications, interfaces, and test sequencing capabilities.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware/software integration issues in complex systems.
• Understanding of software verification principles and fault injection concepts.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated test software and EGSE software supporting avionics development and verification.
• Design reusable test applications, instrument interfaces, device drivers, and data acquisition tools.
• Control laboratory instrumentation and communicate with embedded avionics hardware.
• Build extensible test frameworks separating hardware interfaces, test logic, and data handling.
• Develop verification tests including boundary conditions, negative testing, and fault injection.
