Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Feeds, waters and weighs birds according to schedules (10%).
• Cleans and disinfects waterers, changes and cleans nest pads, dusts nests, cleans walls and ceilings, maintains egg room in a clean state and performs other routine duties (10%).
• Records information such as egg numbers, hen numbers, weight, medications, feed intake and mortality.
• Observes/grades/records egg quality and distributes or disposes according to Cobb standard.
• Collect eggs from egg table and record number of eggs laid by each hen.
• Inspects poultry for diseases and removes weak, ill, and dead poultry from flock.
