Job summary

Cobb Bear Hollow Farm in Pineville, MO, seeks a hatchery associate to inspect eggs for incubation, process day-old chicks, and maintain a clean, sanitary hatchery. The role supports production needs and requires attention to detail and physical stamina.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package begins on day one of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps >6 months in past 36 months.
• If laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap may be 18 months.
• Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire rule: no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
• Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first.

Responsibilities

• Inspect eggs to ascertain quality and fitness for incubation, process day-old chicks by counting, vaccinating, wing banding, delivering chicks within the complex, and data entry on a touch screen tablet (60%).
• Maintain sanitary environment by operating tray washer, high pressure sprayer/water hose, cleaning hatchery areas and vehicles, collecting hatchery monitoring samples, and fumigating areas as required (30%).
