Job summary

Cobb is seeking a team member for egg handling, pickup and delivery, inspection, sanitation, and inventory duties in a biosecure production environment. You will ensure quality and proper storage of eggs while adhering to biosecurity guidelines.

The role includes a 1st shift (United States) with a schedule of Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm or until completion, and benefits begin on day one of full-time hire. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Picks up eggs from houses in laying, traps, and cages sections and delivers to hatchery; operates egg sanitizer and sorts by shell color and quality.
• Loads eggs on truck and assists with loading racks for transport to hatchery; helps with off-site pickups as needed.
• Monitors hatchery environment for temperature and humidity; maintains sanitary environment and cleans equipment daily.
