Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Shipping Specialist to coordinate outbound shipments, prepare orders, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining accuracy and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will work with warehouse, inventory, and customer service teams to optimize shipping processes, verify details, and resolve issues, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, and freight providers. Join a team focused on accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distribution preferred.
• Experience using shipping software and ERP/WMS systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and freight shipping procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to read shipping documents and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer orders for shipment.
• Pick, pack, label, and verify products according to company standards.
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL freight providers.
• Schedule freight pickups and monitor shipment status.
• Verify shipping information for accuracy, including quantities, addresses, and special instructions.
• Inspect packages to ensure proper packaging and compliance with shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged shipments, and delivery issues.
• Communicate with customer service, purchasing, and warehouse personnel regarding shipping priorities.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain an organized shipping area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
