Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations, handling transfer, spread, cover, load, and/or compact waste with emphasis on efficiency and safety.

The role requires performing pre- and post-operation checks, documenting equipment status, and performing minor maintenance while adhering to strict safety standards as part of a team dedicated to reliable waste services and environmental

Competenze

Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Mansioni

Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment and ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean.
Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment with proper safety standards.
Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste in materials and ensure equipment is operationally ready to minimize downtime.
Perform and document minor service on equipment and refer more complex issues to Maintenance Shop for repair.
Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required records; report repairs to supervisor as needed.
Follow all safety policies and procedures; keep shop clean, serviced and stored at end of shift.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
