Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand at our Bloomington service center. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely handling of shipments.

You will perform pre- and post-shift checks, document freight conditions, and coordinate with the team to keep operations efficient. Overtime and weekend availability are required; prior warehouse or transportation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior operation of a forklift or forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack/hand truck (70 lbs).
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning.
• Must work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Must lift approximately 70 lbs.
• Read and comply with safety rules and procedures.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Regular attendance is required.
• This is not an all-inclusive list of duties; other duties may be assigned as needed.
