Job summary

Brook & Whittle Ltd. is seeking a Shipping Clerk to inspect, prepare, and pack customer orders while ensuring a final quality check. The role requires reading job jackets, verifying quantities, and processing shipments with the appropriate carrier.

The position involves standing most of the shift, lifting up to 45 lbs, and working 3:30pm–12:00am, Monday to Friday. Candidate must pass background checks and drug screening, and eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand job jacket to ensure production steps are completed and product matches job jacket requirements.
• Check packing instructions and quantity to ensure order ships per customer specifications, quantity ordered, and correct shipping carrier.
• Enter shipment information in shipping system to produce packing slip and customer information.
• Affix packing slip and labels as required; obtain supervisor sign-off when needed.
• Update shipping information on the job jacket and process shipment through the automated system to apply correct carrier and charges.
• Maintain a clean work area and report issues to supervisor.
