Job summary

North American Dental Group in Franklin, TN is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Dental Assistant to join our practice. We prioritize patient-first care and offer flexible full-time or part-time schedules with competitive hourly pay.

You will assist doctors with charting, fillings, crowns, sutures, and topical fluoride, perform state-permitted expanded duties, and maintain patient records. We provide training and certification support to help you grow in your dental career.

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification or on-the-job training required per state requirements.
• Radiography licensure for applicable state requirements.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors which includes charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating

Hourly Rates For Both EFDA And DA

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant- Depending on experience 27-32/an hour

Dental Assistant- Depending on experience 22-28/an hour

Qualifications

So How Can You "Fill" This Role?

• EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• CPR Certification is required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary
