Job summary

North American Dental Group in Franklin, TN is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or a Dental Assistant to join our team. We focus on patient-first care and empathy, with a mission to transform the dental experience and support your growth.

We offer flexible options and pay EFDA 27–32 USD/hr and DA 22–28 USD/hr. We invest in you—up to 50% of certification costs and a growth path within our practice.

Qualifications

  • EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements.
  • Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
  • CPR Certification is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assists doctors which includes charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
  • Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: amalgam or composite fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, fluoride treatments.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, chart entries under doctor direction and forms in dental software.
  • Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating clinician.

Hourly rates for both EFDA and DA:

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant- Depending on experience 27-32/an hour

Dental Assistant- Depending on experience 22-28/an hour

Responsibilities

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

  • Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
  • Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
