Job summary

MVHC is seeking a full-time Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our dental team. The EFDA will assist dentists in direct provision of primary care dental services across MVHC locations in Muskingum and Cambridge counties.

The role requires EFDA certification, Ohio license, high school diploma or GED, English communication skills, and CPR-BLS. Duties include operatory setup, sterilization, record keeping, patient education, and assisting with expanded functions per state regulations.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification from an accredited program.
• Ohio EFDA license is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Effective oral and written communication in English is required.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in direct provision of primary dental care.
• Maintain operatory readiness and sterilization per protocol.
• Record patient-dentist transactions in the dental record.
• Provide oral health education and patient guidance.
• Maintain radiology license and infection control compliance.
• Assist with Expanded Function duties as needed.
