Job summary

Schepmont Group, LLC seeks a full-time Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to work alongside the doctor and maintain smooth clinical and operational flow. You will report directly to the doctor and perform expanded functions under supervision.

We value attitude and commitment as much as experience, with strong candidates and preferred certifications considered. The right candidate should have EFDA registration in Ohio, radiographer license, BLS/CPR, Hepatitis B immunity, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Current EFDA registration with the Ohio State Dental Board.
• Current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Evidence of Hepatitis B immunity or immunization per Ohio law.
• Strong computer skills and comfort with practice management and imaging software.
• DANB CDA, CODA, or AMT RDA certification (preferred).
• Experience with CEREC, intraoral scanners, Invisalign, or Eaglesoft (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform expanded functions under the doctor's direct supervision, as permitted by your Ohio EFDA registration.
• Provide chairside assistance across restorative, cosmetic, and general procedures.
• Take digital X-rays.
• Perform intraoral scanning and support digital workflows, including CEREC and Invisalign.
• Handle instrument sterilization, operatory setup, breakdown, and turnover.
• Greet patients, manage hand-offs, and communicate clearly chairside.
• Use Eaglesoft practice management software (training provided as needed).
• Support the doctor, hygiene team, and front desk as the day requires.
• Work independently on sterilization, lab organization, and office support when the doctor is out.
