Job summary

Health Partners of Western Ohio seeks a Dental Assistant with EFDA duties at the Old West End Community Health Center. Under supervision, you will support patient care, perform routine EFDA procedures, and help maintain sterile operatory.

This role requires an Ohio EFDA license, CDA certification, Ohio radiographer license, CPR/BLS, and at least one year of dental assisting experience. The organization offers comprehensive benefits and a mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS certification required; training provided
• Current Ohio EFDA license and CDA certification
• Graduate from an accredited Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary program

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatory for patient treatment under dentist guidance.
• Clean and disinfect operatory after treatment.
• Assist with direct patient care, take histories, x-rays, and chart prep.
• Assist with routine specialized EFDA procedures under established protocols.
• Maintain stock of medicines and dental supplies.
• Assist receptionist with front office duties as needed.
• Educate patients on dental issues and infection control.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, safety, infection control, and biohazard standards.
• May travel to meet operational needs.
