Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a skilled neurodiagnostic technologist to perform EEG and related neurodiagnostic tests across age groups, ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role requires independent work, strong clinical judgment, and proficiency with various monitoring modalities.

The candidate will participate in staff education, maintain strict safety protocols, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient care. Clinical training and credentialing are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 2 years EEG/evoked potential/long-term video EEG/ambulatory EEG experience and data management or 5 years’ experience with graduate from accredited program.
• Graduate of an accredited ElectroNeurodiagnostics/Neurophysiology program.
• Registration in EEG/evoked potentials/long-term monitoring/polysomnography (ABRET/BRPT or equivalent).
• BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients and staff in diverse situations.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and risk management practices.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current in the field.
• Prepare testing environments and patient readiness for procedures.
• Perform and assist with a wide range of neurodiagnostic testing procedures as outlined (EEG, sleep studies, long-term monitoring).
• Record and analyze clinical and technical data, adjust procedures as needed.
