Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an EEG technologist to perform neurophysiological tests including EEG, brainstem auditory evoked potentials, visual evoked potentials and long-term epilepsy monitoring. The role requires good judgment and is performed under general supervision, with testing across neonates, pediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, explaining procedures to patients and families, coordinating with neurology and scheduling, ensuring accurate data capture

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of clinical EEG experience; hours may count as experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and stat EEG testing in lab and bedside.
• Explains testing procedures to patients and families.
• Maintains equipment and coordinates with biomed/IT vendors.
• Assists with data collection and performance improvement.
• Collaborates with neurology staff to optimize scheduling.
